About

Douglas Valley Outreach is a small charity in Parbold and Newburgh which supports Aslyum Seekers and Refugees in the local areas of Skelmersdale and Wigan.

We were formed in 2015 in response to the International Refugee Crisis and our desire to help in whatever way we could.

We became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in November 2016 which has enabled us to raise funds to support the work we do.

We have over 20 volunteers working with families in Wigan and Skelmersdale befriending,  helping with English conversation and supporting them as they settle into our community.

We will shortly be adding some case studies which highlights the work we do and the impact it has on individuals and families under our news section.
